SeedSphere — User Guide SeedSphere is a Stremio addon that boosts magnet links by appending healthy, validated public trackers. This improves peer discovery, reducing buffering and startup time.

Optionally validates each tracker’s health. Appends the healthy trackers to the magnet URL. No content scraping. It only augments magnets for better connectivity.

variant all (default): All trackers list. best: Curated best trackers. all_udp, all_http, all_ws: Protocol-specific. all_ip, best_ip: IP-only versions (no hostnames). trackers_url Custom trackers list URL (overrides variant). Expected format: one tracker URL per line, comments allowed with “#”. validation_mode off: No validation, fastest. basic (default): DNS + lightweight HTTP checks. aggressive: More probes including UDP handshakes (requires outbound UDP; supported on Fly.io). max_trackers 0 (default): Unlimited after validation. N: Cap the number of healthy trackers appended. Tip: Start with “basic” and “max_trackers = 20–40” if you want a balanced set.

If your network blocks UDP, use validation_mode=basic or off. For very slow networks, reduce max_trackers to a lower number like 10–20. Privacy and data SeedSphere does not collect personal data. Internal caches (e.g., tracker health) are in-memory and ephemeral. “Recent boosts” only shows aggregate counts and the selected source list. Troubleshooting The addon feels slow at first use: The app may cold-start (cost-saving). Re-try in a few seconds. I set a custom trackers URL and got an error: Your URL must return plain text with one tracker per line. Comments allowed with “#”. Streams not improving: Try variant=best or reduce max_trackers if you suspect noisy trackers. Use best_ip if DNS is an issue on your network. Limitations SeedSphere does not provide content or search catalogs. It augments magnets for supported types (movie, series). Aggressive mode relies on outbound UDP support.
